The Courtesy Visit and Working Visit by the Malaysian Fisheries Development Authority (LKIM) and the National Fishermen's Association (NEKMAT) to the OZ Seventy Holdings (M) Berhad Petroleum Processing and Refining Plant was led by the Director-General of LKIM, YBrs. Mr. Hamdan bin Mamat, and was welcomed by the Founder and Executive Chairman of OZ Seventy Holdings (M) Berhad, Mr. Ozairi bin Othman.
The LKIM team and NEKMAT representatives were briefed by Mr. Ozairi on the company's background and a brief introduction to the products produced (Low Sulfur Marine Gas Oil {LMGO).
Subsequently, the LKIM team and NEKMAT representatives also observed a brief demonstration by Associate Professor Dr. Abdul Aziz bin Mohd Azzuddien from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMP) on the process and method of refining petroleum to produce LMGO products. They were also taken on a tour of the site housing the machinery for processing and refining petroleum.
Also present during the visit were the Director of LKIM Pahang, YBrs. Mr. Faizal bin Puasa, Deputy Director of Community Development and Fishermen's Organization, Ms. Aida Irdawaty binti Mohamad, as well as officers and staff from LKIM Headquarters and LKIM Pahang. From OZ Seventy Holdings (M) Berhad, the Head of Business Development, YBrs. Mr. Ismadi bin Ismail, Business Development Coordinator, YBrs. Mr. Malek bin Ahmad, and from UMP, Senior Lecturer of the Faculty of Industrial Sciences and Technology, Associate Professor Dr. Abdul Aziz bin Mohd Azzuddien, and Senior Lecturer of the Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering Technology, Ts. Dr. Abdul Halim bin Abdul Razak.
